Privacy
This site collects very little, and this page says exactly what. Last updated 20 September 2026.
Who is responsible
Alejandro Thomas publishes this site and answers for the data it handles. For anything on this page, use the contact form on the site: it reaches the same person.
What we collect, and why
When you write to us
The contact form and the “Let’s chat” field send us your email address, your message and, if you give one, your name. To help us reply in the right language and at a sensible hour, the message also carries the connection’s IP address, the approximate city and country that address points to (looked up on our own server against the free DB-IP database — nothing is sent anywhere for this), the languages your browser prefers, and your time zone.
We use this only to answer you. The legal basis is the step you take by writing to us (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)) and our interest in answering properly (art. 6(1)(f)). The message goes to our mailbox by email; a copy stays on the server as a backup and is deleted after 365 days.
Visitor statistics
We count visits with Umami, running on our own server. It sets no cookie and stores no IP address: each day it derives a random-looking code from your address and browser, uses it to tell one visit from another, and forgets the recipe at midnight, so nothing links your visits from one day to the next. What we keep is aggregate — pages seen, country and city, browser, screen size, where visitors came from. The legal basis is our interest in knowing whether the site is read (art. 6(1)(f)). To stay out of the numbers in a browser, open https://playground.ar/?stats=off once; ?stats=on reverses it.
Server logs
Like every web server, ours notes each request — the address it came from, the page, the browser, the time — to keep the site working and to spot abuse (art. 6(1)(f)). The logs are rotated: the oldest entries are overwritten once they reach a few tens of megabytes, which is a matter of days to weeks.
The review window
Comments, drawings and files you add in the app’s review window stay in your own browser’s storage. They are never sent to us. Clearing the site’s data in your browser removes them.
Cookies
None. There is no advertising, no third-party script and no cross-site tracking here, which is why there is no cookie banner: nothing on this site needs your consent to run.
Who else handles the data
- Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) hosts the server. Everything above lives there.
- Resend, Inc. (United States) delivers the contact mail to our mailbox, under its data processing agreement and the EU standard contractual clauses.
- Our mailbox is a Google account; the message sits there like any email until the conversation is over.
Nobody else receives the data, and none of it is sold or used for advertising.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, or receive a copy. Use the contact form and say what you need; we answer within a month. If you are in the EU or the UK you can also complain to your data protection authority; in Argentina, to the Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública.
The videos
The people, places and products in the videos on this site are generated with AI and do not exist as shown. No real person is depicted.
